WELDTONE solutions for the protection of electronic assemblies safeguard sensitive components from mechanical shock and vibration, moisture, corrosion, contaminants and other environmental hazards. Our broad array of protecting materials include encapsulants, conformal coatings and EMI shielding materials, and keep electronic assemblies functioning at optimal levels for longer periods of time.
Encapsulants
Encapsulation materials protect PCBs and semiconductor devices such as bare die, flip-chips, chip-on-board, and ICs. WELDTONE encapsulates are resistant to moisture, invulnerable to thermal cycling and exhibit low shrinkage while maintaining flexibility.
Our encapsulants cure tack-free in seconds on exposure to UV or LED light and offer excellent protection on both rigid and flexible substrates. Our dual cure formulations ensure full curing of adhesives in shadow areas and are designed to cure upon exposure to light, moisture and heat at low temperatures.

Conformal Coatings
WELDTONE’s conformal coatings include advanced chemistries and UV and light curing options that safeguard electronics from moisture, dust, harmful chemicals, temperature changes and mechanical abrasion, ensuring higher reliability and longer product life.
Our conformal coatings can be dispensed, or spray coated by automated dispensing methods. Alternative application methods include brushing or dipping.

EMI Shielding
WELDTONE’s electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding formulations can be applied via spray coating equipment, enabling high volume production that results in a micro-thin EMI protection layer.
Our EMI shielding can be applied at the package level, enabling the miniaturization of advanced RF devices used in automotive and semiconductor devices where high RF signals are used.
Our EMI shielding materials can also be applied to plastic housings to create compartmental EMI shielding of multiple components.
